Dragon Fyre Imports – Exact Tea Cup Pictured
This unusual Jian Zhan tea plate features a dramatic arrangement of large silver oil-drop formations surrounding a deep black center. Each rounded formation displays finely textured crystalline lines, creating a ring resembling metallic flower petals beneath the glossy surface. Smaller, darker oil drops gather toward the middle, giving the plate a layered pattern with a strong natural sense of depth.
The warm bronze-colored rim provides a striking contrast to the cool silver interior. When viewed under stronger light, subtle blue and violet highlights emerge between the oil drops, while the glazed underside reveals a surprisingly vivid band of turquoise and electric blue. The broad exposed clay foot bears the maker’s impressed seal and allows the plate to rest securely when used for tea service, small treats, or display.
