This handsome tea bowl features a dramatic kiln-transformation glaze in deep black, rust-red, copper, and burnt orange. A glossy, nearly black center spreads outward in radiating streaks before breaking into warm, flame-like patterns around the sides and rim. Scattered copper-colored markings emerge throughout the darker glaze, giving every viewing angle a different character. Under strong light, subtle midnight-blue tones become visible within the black center, adding another hidden layer of color. Finished with a softly metallic rim and an exposed earthy clay foot, this substantial bowl has a warm, rustic presence with plenty of kiln-created movement.
