Inside, a luminous hundred-flower glaze spreads across the walls in overlapping formations of copper, rose gold, bronze, soft pink, and hints of iridescent green. Dark branching lines separate the rounded crystalline shapes, giving the pattern exceptional definition and creating the appearance of countless petals opening across the surface. At the center, the glaze deepens into a dark olive-green pool surrounded by larger cellular formations.
The exterior features a rich oil-drop treatment with metallic copper and bronze tones divided by dark, web-like lines. Its colors shift noticeably under direct light, revealing pale silver, pink, gold, and green highlights that are much less visible in ordinary lighting.
During firing, a heavy flow of dark olive glaze traveled to the lower edge and solidified into a large kiln tear beside the foot. This permanent drip is not damage or a repair; it is a naturally formed record of the glaze moving under the kiln’s intense heat.
The combination of hundred-flower crystallization, metallic oil-drop patterning, and an exceptionally prominent kiln tear makes this a distinctive collector’s piece.
