Dragon Fyre Imports – Exact Tea Jar Pictured
This remarkable lidded tea jar features a deeply iridescent oil-drop glaze filled with purple, midnight blue, copper, and flashes of brilliant turquoise. Rounded oil-drop formations rise around the lower body like overlapping petals, while fine vertical streaks carry the color upward toward a softly metallic rim. The broad lid continues the pattern in radiating bands surrounding a raised, exposed-clay handle.
The most dramatic colors emerge beneath strong light. Electric blue and turquoise illuminate the purple glaze, revealing flower-like structures and subtle copper centers that remain hidden under normal room lighting. The underside of the lid contains another unexpected display, with a vivid ring of purple, blue, and bronze surrounding a glossy black center. Finished with an unglazed clay base bearing the maker’s seal, this functional tea caddy offers nearly as much visual interest as a collectible Jian Zhan bowl.
