The addition of a computer controlled carving machine a few years ago added a
whole new dimension to our business. Being able to create about any kind of sign,
plaque, 3D picture, decorative carving on boxes and other projects has just put our
business over the top. There is almost no limit to the stuff that can be done, and we
are learning more all the time. Several pages on our site feature items created with
this process, including Home Decor, Wedding/Anniversary, Military, Coin Banks,
Signs and more. We would love to create a one of a kind item for you!

KWS is licensed to produce the identity of Kansas University and Kansas State
University. This means we can make nearly any item in wood with the official logo's of
these schools. If you have someone that is a big fan of one or both of these teams, we

~ Hardwood Cutting Boards ~
We hang on to all the cut-offs from our projects and use them to make these
multi color cutting boards. Generally they are made from Walnut, Cherry,
Maple, and Birch. We never use Oak to make cutting boards as the open
grain can trap blood and other matter and allow bacteria to grow. They are
finished with food friendly mix of beeswax and mineral oil.

Kansas Wood Shop goes Hollywood!!
